General Understanding
-
"ActiveRx" combines two powerful ideas: ‘Active’, representing movement, lifestyle, and proactive health—and ‘Rx’, the medical symbol for a prescription. Together, it reflects our core belief: that exercise is medicine. At ActiveRx, we provide tailored, evidence-based exercise programs as a prescribed approach to help you move better, feel stronger, and live healthier.
-
We assess, prescribe, and supervise exercise programs tailored to your health needs to improve function, manage symptoms, and enhance your quality of life.
-
Physiotherapists focus on diagnosing and treating injuries with manual therapy, especially in the early stages. Exercise physiologists specialise in using exercise to manage chronic conditions and injuries. focusing on supporting long-term recovery and health. Both play important, but different, roles in your care.
-
No referral is needed for private clients. However, GP referrals are required for Medicare, DVA, and some NDIS funding.
-
AEPs hold a 4 year university degree in Exercise Physiology and must be accredited with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
